Job Description Planning Engineer:
Roles & Responsibilities Develop and Maintain Project Schedule:
Utilize planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent to create and maintain detailed project schedules. Regularly update schedules to reflect project changes, ensuring they remain accurate and current. Coordinate with Stakeholders: Engage with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors, to gather necessary project information. Integrate stakeholder inputs into the project schedule to ensure comprehensive and cohesive planning.
Analyze Project Progress: Continuously monitor and analyze project progress against the schedule. Identify potential scheduling issues, delays, or bottlenecks and propose solutions to address them proactively. Prepare and Present Project Progress Reports: Generate detailed project progress reports for management, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and any deviations from the schedule. Present these reports to senior management, providing clear and concise updates on the project status. Collaborate with Project Team Members: Work closely with various project team members to ensure that the project schedule is aligned with project goals and objectives. Facilitate communication and coordination among team members to ensure synchronized project execution.
Develop and Maintain Risk Mitigation Plans: Identify and assess potential risks that could impact the project timeline and schedule. Develop, implement, and maintain risk mitigation plans to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project continuity.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Planning and Scheduling Specialist Nationality: Open to any nationality Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with a preference for Civil Engineering. Experience: Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling. Preferred: Experience in the construction or engineering industry. Certifications: Required: Certification in planning and scheduling, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-SP (Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional). Skills: Technical Skills: Proficient in planning and scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. Language Skills: Fluent in English.
